Mumbai’s eastern suburbs are Mulund, Vikhroli, Ghatkopar. Kurla, Chembur, Mankhurd, Kanjur Marg, Powai, Bhandup, Dombivali and Kalyan.

Among these, Vikhroli was relatively an unknown place for residential properties and was more of an industrial where Godrej factory was located.

But Vikhroli is fast changing its profile and is becoming a hotspot of real estate action in East Mumbai. Being centrally located, given the island shape of Mumbai, Vikhroli is catching the fancy of all as a futuristic residential destination. Vikhroli’s property prices are cheaper than other established suburbs like Ghatkopar and Andheri. Vikhroli enjoys good connectivity with places like Dadar, Chembur, and Vashi being less than half an hour by train or road through the Eastern Express Highway. The recently constructed JVLR (Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road) has connected Vikhroli to the western suburbs of Bandra, Andheri, and Goregaon. As a result, the Mumbai international airport is just 20 minutes of driving distance from Vikhroli.

While developers are facing space crunch in other parts of Mumbai Vikhroli is sitting with vast tracts of open land suitable for development. Builders and Developers like Hiranandani Group, RNA and Rajesh Builders have already announced projects for the area. It is reported that the old Godrej factory will be giving way to a large IT Park where big companies are taking space. Godrej land is estimated to be 6000 acres.

In Ghatkopar, some new residential projects are in progress. They are Kalpataru Aura, apartments by DHM Estates, Rising City, apartment complex by Ackruti City Limited, Neumec Sanskriti, apartments by Neumec Group and The Address, apartments by Wadhwa Group. In commercial properties, Dipti Solitaire is a commercial project for shops, corporate offices by Dipti Group and Sumit Samarth Arcade, is a commercial property for corporate offices by Sumit Woods. V Space is a commercial complex by Veena Developers.

RNA Developers’ have announced RNA Sagar in Ghatkopar for 2 and 3 bedroom apartments having latest facilities like stilt and podium parking and all amenities for a comfortable living.
