National Highway 10 from New Delhi to Rohtak is being upgraded to six lanes with 30 km Rohtak City Bypass, to avoid vehicles travelling between New Delhi and Hissar entering Rohtak city. Rohtak houses several educational institutions and is also known as Education City.

Social infrastructures like school, hospital, theme parks, club, shopping centre, grocery store are also included. Suncity Township is coming up in 400 acre at Rohtak-Sonepat Road Sector 34, 35, 36 and another at Rohtak-Delhi Road. It is of international standards and offers luxurious villas and plots.

New projects that can hasten real estate development are the plans of Haryana Govt to construct housing and commercial sectors at Sampla, between Bahadurgarh and Rohtak. An international cargo airport is also on cards for Rohtak.
